Amy Griffin has been with Hooper Corp. for less than three years, but she’s already helped coordinate some major projects.

Griffin, director of marketing and community relations, guided an extensive rebranding effort for Hooper as the company completed construction and moved to its new corporate headquarters in DeForest in 2021.

The rebranding also included consolidating affiliate General Heating and Air Conditioning under the Hooper name. In less than a year, both Hooper and General Heating were unified as one company, at one location, with one distinct brand.

“I love that I’m able to collaborate with all areas of our organization,” Griffin said. “Each division, department and region have their specific areas of expertise, but strategic marketing and branding initiatives help identify the common threads that connect and strengthen us all.

“It’s also an honor to work with so many nonprofit organizations through Hooper’s charitable foundation. I have a deep appreciation and strong affinity for philanthropic causes that support our community in a variety of meaningful ways.”

Throughout her career, Griffin has served as a volunteer and board member for many civic and nonprofit organizations in Madison. They include the Food Allergy Association of Wisconsin, Madison Children’s Museum and The Literacy Network.

She most recently served as vice president of philanthropy for the National Charity League and a trustee for the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Griffin is currently the board co-chair for American Red Cross of Southwestern Wisconsin.

She is also a published author.

“One area that holds a personal significance to Amy is food safety awareness,” said Mary Novotny, marketing specialist with Hooper. “As the mother of a daughter living with life-threatening peanut and tree nut allergies, Amy was inspired to write a series of picture books for kids about food allergies.”

The Bugabees book series — written under her pen name Amy Recob — has received several honors, including a Mom’s Choice Award, Moonbeam Award and one of Healthline’s Top Ten Food Allergy Books.
