Retired Hooper President, Dave Orr, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the UW Madison Construction Club in 2023. Dave served as President of General Heating and Air Conditioning from 2010 to 2014 and finished his career as President of Hooper from 2015 to 2018. He was recognized for his relentless commitment to innovation, accountability, and delivering outstanding mechanical work in the state of Wisconsin.

During Dave’s tenure with Hooper, he also managed the company’s charitable foundation, and provided board leadership for many nonprofits in the community. As United Way of Dane County’s Campaign Chair in 2019, Dave helped raise millions of dollars and mobilized more than 800 volunteers to serve as Champions for Change.
